How to: Troubleshoot the Outlook add-in

Option 1: Hard-refresh your add-in

Occasionally when Microsoft makes an update the add-in will continue to try to display the older, cached version of the site rather than the updated version.

To resolve this, you can hard reload the add-in which re-downloads everything for the web page, ensuring that you are viewing the most recent version.

In Windows, the shortcut for this is Control+R. On a Mac, the shortcut is Command+Shift+R.

1. Open your Outlook application
2. Click on the add-in 
3. Perform the refresh Control+R (Windows) or Command+Shift+R (Mac)

Note: Closing and reopening Outlook will not refresh the add-in as it will load from the cache.

Option 2: Confirm the version of Outlook you are using

For Outlook add-ins to be installed and function properly, there are a number of minimum version requirements for both the desktop applications and server where applicable.

Option 3: Check your firewall and/or proxy server is not interfering with access

1. Paste this URL into your Internet Explorer* browser: https://outlook.dazychain.com/

Option 4: Check your language settings

Dazychain Outlook add-in is available to the USA and APAC.  Occasionally when installing the add-in there may only be one version available to you.  This may be due to your language settings.  Your desktop application may be set to a different language to your web based application.

1. Login to your web based Outlook
2. Select the settings cog in the right hand corner
3. Select View all outlook settings
4. Select General  
5. In Language and time change your language to reflect your region e.g. English (Australia) or English (United States)
6. Refresh after you have changed your language
