How to: Create and save a filtered view

1. Select Project, Worklist or Invoice from the main menu
2. Click thefilter icon next to a column name
3. Choose an option from the filter operators depending on the field type:
   • Date field: 
     • Greater Than: date occurs after set date
     • Less Than: date occurs before set date
     • Between: date occurs between set date
     • Equals: is the exact date set
     • Does Not Equal: date is not the set date
   • Text field (not case sensitive):
     • Contains: Find records that include your search term.
     • Does Not Contain: Exclude records that don’t meet your criteria.
     • Equal: Find exact matches to your search term. Not case sensitive.
     • Not equal: Exclude records that match your search term exactly. Not case sensitive.
     • Starts With/Ends With: Narrow down results based on the beginning on end of a string.
     • Blank: Filter for records with empty fields.
     • Not Blank: Filter for records with populated fields.
   • Drop-down field:
     • Select one option from the drop-down
4.  If you have a text field you can apply more than one filter in the column using AND/OR filter operator 
   1. Choose an option from the text filter operators
   2. Enter your text filter
   3. Select AND if the record must match both conditions or OR if the record only has to match at least one conditions
5. Click Save icon

Note: Multiple filters can be used at once and applied in the sequence they are added. Columns that have had a filter applied will display icon.

Add or remove columns

1. Click Add or remove columns  button
2. Select the tickbox to add a column/field to the grid or untick the box to remove
   
   
   
   
3. Click Finish

The Action column

The Action column allows you to change the state of a Project or Deliverable directly from the list. 

To add the Action column to your Project or Worklist filters:

1. Go to the Projects or Worklist screen
2. Select the Filter you wish to add the column to
3. Click on the add or remove columns  button located at the top right of the page
4. Expand the Project fields or Deliverable fields heading
5. Check the tickbox next to Action
6. Click on Save

Reorder columns:

1. Click on the column heading you want to move
2. Hold down left-click on your mouse
3. Drag column into the new position
4. Release click on your mouse

Sort columns

1. Click on a column heading to sort A-Z, will appear
2. Click heading again to sort Z-A, will appear
3. Click heading again to remove sort

  Note

Sort can only be active on one column at a time and can be applied before or after you enable filter fields

To save your filter

1. Click the Save button
2. Select an option from the Choose an action pop-up:
   • Select Save current view to save over the view you started with
   • Select Create a new user view to save a new filter only visible to you
   • Select Create a new organisation view to save as a new filter visible to all users in your organisation
3. Enter a filter name
4. Click the Create button
5. The new Filter Report will appear at the top of your window.

Reorder the views 

1. Clicking on Move filter option button
2. Click and hold the grabber tool 
3. Drag and drop the filter view into order, the leftmost filter will become the default

Delete a filter view

1. Click on the  Move button
2. Click on the 'X'  in the top right-hand corner of the filter

  Note

The default views cannot be edited or deleted. These are Engagement report and Provider report in Projects, Default worklist in Worklist, and Default Invoice list in Invoices.

Examples:

In the example below, you can see a range of filtered reports have been created for both the active and closed deliverable, and for each member of the team on the Worklist menu.

Now you can see the list of deliverables in order of due date

In the example below, you can see a range of filtered reports have been created to display activity by project type, risk, region and user. The Dazychain team are happy to assist you to set up reports.
