We're introducing some great improvements on Monday 25th February. There will be a system outage between 9pm and 11pm AEDT.
We're most proud of the new global search, so we've listed that first, but you can read the whole article to see what other exciting improvements we're welcoming to Dazychain.
A quick shoutout to all the suggestions and feedback from our users, you are helping shape the product and we are always impressed with the inventive things you come up with - thank you!
Users can now search the entire contents of Dazychain in one easy step. Click on the magnifying icon at the top right of your screen, and enter in search criteria. Results will be sorted into Projects, Deliverables, Documents, and Invoices.
There is a count next to each heading to show how many search results were returned, and the file paths are colour coded with hyperlinks. Click on any part of the file path to go that screen.
Any word, title or attribute can be used for searching.
Search projects using file number
Search by Matter number/File number in the Search projects field or by using the Global search tool
Closing a project automatically closes all deliverables
We understand your time is precious, and we listened to your feedback - you can now close projects in one step.Click on the Close project button, and all open and in progress deliverables will automatically be closed, and timestapped with today's date.
Added monetary attribute type
Project and deliverable attribute fields can now be a monetary value, which will show in your matter details or deliverable details as a dollar figure with decimal places.
This field can also be reported on in the Dashboards.
Dashboards display measure by category
The Dashboard charts now have the ability to show the measure of a an attribute. For example, you can now chart Matter budget by Business unit, or Invoiced total by Supplier.
Simply select the two attributes you wish to measure when editing the chart.
Delete a deliverable
You know when you accidentally create a deliverable, so you cancel it, but then it hangs around your worklist and you can remove it... well, now you can!
Click on delete from the menu and the deliverable will be removed.
Detect potential duplicate projects
Dazychain will now prompt you during project creation if you are creating a project with a title that is similar to an existing project.
In the Create a project pop up screen, you will see a list of similar existing projects appear when you start entering a project title.
Right click and open in a new tab to view the project details, to decide if you need a new project or this existing one is suitable.
Email text searchable
Emails that have been uploaded to Dazychain as an attachment, are searchable using our Document search or the Global search.
Removed complete from Deliverable lifecycle
There is no longer the Complete stage in a Deliverable lifecycle. We had a lot of feedback suggesting there didn't need to be the two step process of complete and close, and we understand you would prefer to go directly to close.
UI Improvements in project creation pop up
We've removed the prompt during project creation that asks if you are buying or selling a service. We hope this makes the project creation experience easier and less confusing.
Folders - sub folders listed first then projects
The folders are now ordered with sub-folder appearing first, and then any projects within the primary folder listed after.
